Unreal Engine Projects

Here is a collection of different projects I worked on for school.  My hope is to showcase my process as I began to learn how to work this powerful tool for game development.

Vilewater Stadium

Flythrough Video By: William Irving

As one of my assignments we created flythough videos of levels we created in the Unreal Engine.

The level was created as a concept from a game idea I had as a survival horror game.  As this was my first use of the Unreal Engine this level really showcases my early stages of understanding the engine and it holds a special place in my heart as a piece worth showcasing for a first time user.

The main building and the arena in the middle were assets I created myself during my early stages of understanding 3d modeling and texturing.  They were the most complex builds I made in my earlier stages of my education.

These are the assets I created for the level including the main building and the arena inside of the main building.

Kinetic Rage Project

Video Created By: Vincent LoGiudice

This project was created in tandem with 4 other designers for our final project in GAM 305.  I created a few select meshes and created most of the environmental textures for the game.  For first time developers I think it turned out pretty good.

Some of the select meshes I created are posted in the 3D modeling section.

Team Lead: Chris Martinez

Lead Programmer: Vincent LoGiudice

Level Designer: Shawn Means

Game Artists: William Irving and Shane Gibson

(Disclaimer: Some textures and meshes were imported from the Unreal Marketplace.)

Assets Created for Project

These are the assets I created for the project including different minor level assets and building pieces.
I created several modular building pieces and for not only the ruins level but also the forest.  Most of them were left as low-poly assets with detailed normal maps due to a one month time constraint and issues with too much memory taken up by the textures.
