Nabber is a creature created for the survival horror game concept, Stretched Canvas, which takes place inside a surrealist painting.
Nabber was formerly an art thief and upon coming in contact with the painting the game takes place in he was trying to steal, becomes twisted and deformed into the creature you encounter in the game.
I wanted to create something similar to the nagging pursuing hand that grabs you in the classic Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past game.  I wanted Nabber to be a grotesque spider-like creature that likes to sneak up and get the drop on unsuspecting travelers in the painted world.
